I believe pregnancy is a normal phase of life and not a medical condition. Being pregnant may lead to conditions that need intervention, but overall it is a normal state of being.  Labor and birth are also normal and natural and do not need interfering with in most cases.

As a doula, I provide emotional, physical and informational support during labor to assist women in obtaining the birth experience they desire.  I work in both hospital and home environments, and will be part of your support team, along with your midwife or physician and nurses.

I am independently self-employed.  As your doula, I work for you, not your caregiver or the hospital.
