Meet Sherry Asp

My name is Sherry Asp.  I am a wife of over ten years to a wonderful and patient man, and mom to two amazing sons.  William (4) was born feet first at home with the assistance of a midwife and Quinn (1) was born at home into the hands of his father.

After supporting my sister through the birth of my niece in 1993, I have sought after information regarding childbirth.  I became increasingly drawn towards birth and my journey as a doula in 2000 when I became pregnant with my first child.  I trained and recieved my doula certification through DONA.  Since then, I have supported women and their growing families both at home and hospital births.

In addition to serving as a birth doula, I am curently an apprenticing midwife.  I look forward to becoming licensed and having yet another service to offer women in Northern Nevada and the Eastern Sierras.
